the art therapy way services

An art therapy session usually lasts between 45-50 mins.
This time will allow for art making and processing both before and after the creating. Grounding techniques will also be used to ensure you are ok when leaving the session.

At times, I may suggest using relaxation techniques, essential oils, therapeutic music and meditation as a means for you to directly access your unconscious thoughts and emotions. This can be powerful especially when art making is done immediately afterwards.
It is not a requirement for you to partake in any of these activities, the option is there but the choice will always be yours.

There will be a range of art therapy materials provided to assist you in your expression in whatever way feels right for you.
Materials include: paint, pastels, crayons, pencils, stickers, sponges, markers, eco art materials... the list goes on!

There are no set amount of sessions that you need to complete however the average recommended time in order to see results is a minimum of eight art therapy sessions.

These art therapy sessions would generally take place on a weekly basis however fortnightly options are also available.

cost

The fee for a face to face art psychotherapy session is 60 euro and a reduced rate of 50 euro for online therapy.

There is also an option for low cost counselling and fees are charged on a sliding scale.

The space is now equipped with a perspex screen, hand sanitiser and all surfaces are cleaned immediately after each client as per Covid -19 guidelines.
